Remove Watermarks from Photos and Videos on iPhone
Clear AI tool stamps, embedded metadata and your own burned-in logos from your files — native iOS cleaning, zero quality loss.
Watermarks aren't just the logo you can see. Most of what marks a file lives inside it — content credentials from AI tools, EXIF metadata from your camera, edit history from your editor. When you reuse your own photos and videos across platforms, all of that rides along.
CleanAi re-encodes your file natively on iPhone, clearing the embedded signals, and lets you crop out any visible mark — so your own media ships clean, at full quality.
Three kinds of watermark CleanAi handles
AI tool watermarks
Tools like Midjourney, DALL·E and Runway tag their exports two ways: an invisible C2PA content credential baked into the file, and sometimes a visible logo in a corner. CleanAi clears the C2PA signal on re-encode; a quick crop removes the visible mark.
Camera metadata stamps
Photos and videos carry EXIF and other metadata — device, location, timestamps, edit history. A native re-encode strips that embedded data so your file ships clean.
Your own embedded logos
Reusing a clip where you'd burned in your own handle or logo? Crop or trim it out, then export a clean copy — handy when you're repurposing your own footage for a new platform.
CleanAi is intended for cleaning your own photos and videos. Removing watermarks or labels from content you do not own may violate the terms of service of the platform or the rights of the original creator. Use CleanAi only on media you have the right to modify.

Why a native re-encode works
Invisible watermarks and metadata are written into the file's structure, not its pixels. When CleanAi passes your photo or video through Apple's CoreImage and AVFoundation pipelines and re-encodes it from scratch with native export presets, those embedded records — C2PA content credentials, EXIF metadata, edit history — don't carry over. Pair that with a crop for any visible logo and your own file comes out clean, at the same resolution and bitrate as the original.

Watermark removal — FAQ
What kinds of watermarks can CleanAi remove?
Invisible ones — C2PA content credentials and embedded metadata — are cleared automatically when CleanAi re-encodes your file. Visible corner logos are removed with a quick crop. Everything happens on your own files, on your device.
Does this reduce the image or video quality?
No. CleanAi exports through Apple's native CoreImage and AVFoundation presets, preserving resolution and bitrate. The clean copy is pixel-for-pixel the same quality.
Can I remove a watermark from someone else's photo?
No — CleanAi is for cleaning media you own or have the right to modify. Removing watermarks from content you don't own may break a platform's terms or a creator's rights. Please only use it on your own files.
Do my files leave my iPhone?
Never. All processing is on-device — no cloud upload, no account, no servers touching your media.
Does it remove location and camera metadata too?
Yes. The native re-encode strips embedded EXIF and other metadata, so your exported file doesn't carry device, location or timestamp details.
